This is a short story. Lucky you! This unit has yet to walk out -- officially or otherwise -- to any event. It is in the brainstorm, research, kit-building, and recruit phase, and will hopefully roll out in 2004.
The idea was hatched by a reenactor while having a beer and contemplating World War II reenacting in general. He was doing (and still does) resistance and SOE impressions, in conjuntion with 2e Section, Belgian Independent Parachute Squadron (SAS). While fond of Airborne history (as a former US Army paratrooper) he was searching for an outlet for his Irish tendencies. His overwhelming desire is to do an Irish living history impression from the Wars of the Roses through WWII.
