Make your Heian Hunting Costume with our easy-to-use pattern!

If you want to go hunting around the Imperial Palace or play kemmari with your friends, you need your kariginu or suikan! Use our pattern to construct Kariginu and Suikan Sugata in a period manner. This pattern includes the kariginu or suikan (top), hitoe (under top), sashinuki hakama (pouffy pants), kosode (undershirt), shitabakama (drawers), and eboshi (hat). Also included are historical notes on the origin and appropriateness of kariginu and suikan, colour, embellishment, and fabric suggestions, how to make kikutoji and directions on how to get dressed.

All you need is the shoes!

Fits chests 34" to 54" and waists 28" to 50". All sizes in one envelope. 

Also included are assembly instructions, embellishment suggestions, and the extensive historical notes you've come to expect from Reconstructing History.
