Fire in Cairo — Part Ten – the collar

So today I resume work on my Cairo 1888 outfit for Belvidere Victorian Days next weekend. Today we do the collar.

Since it’s a mandarin collar (one that doesn’t overlap like the bodice front does), doing the collar means checking the fit on the bodice first to make sure the collar is place right. And while I’m at it, I might as well mark the bodice fronts for buttons and buttonholes.

Later Today:   The Lining and the Collar!
